Gori City Mayor Zurab Jirkvelishvili met representatives of nongovernmental organizations. He presented short and long-term projects implemented by the city hall to the NGO members.

“At the meeting today I had an opportunity to inform representatives of NGOs about social, infrastructural and cultural-educational programs which aim to address the needs of local population. We continue intensive meetings with NGOs as well as representatives of other fields,” Zurab Jirkvelishvili said.

In the second part of the meeting, the participants started discussion. NGO members mostly asked questions about the recent meeting between the mayors/district governors and the prime minister.

Zurab Jirkvelishvili spoke about poorly done works and named the companies, who improperly implemented their duties.

Part of poorly done works in Gori was mentioned in the conclusion of the State Audit Service. The SAS published the report a month ago which evaluated the infrastructural projects in Gori district implemented in the period of 2012-2013. The report covers period of both National Movement and Georgian Dream’s governance. Shida Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regional prosecutor’s office studies the audit report.
