After the 57th meeting under the incident prevention and response, several important questions have been answered. According to the manager of MIA analytic department, Shalva Enukidze, Roman Shitikov, who disappeared a year ago, is feeling good now. He is in Russian Federation with the status of IDP. Until now, Georgian side had no information about the missing Shitikov.

By the order of that time Prime Minister Grigol Mgaloblishvili, Shitikov received a medal of military valor for 2008 Russian-Georgian.

The parties also agreed that because of his heavy health condition, they would release Guram Gegelasvhili from Tskhinvali prison. He was arrested a year ago.

“Today at 18:00, Gegelashvili will be transferred to us through the Red Cross and will get back to his family. The case of missing Grigol Nalbandov is still obscure,”- said the manager of MIA analytic department, Shalva Enukidze.

The parties also discussed the events of Khurvaleti at the meeting. The representatives of Georgian Government requested to cancel the process of building wire-entanglements and so-called “border” banners. They received vague response regarding this from the de facto government of Tskhinvali. They do not know whether they continue demarcation of so-called “border” or not.

“No serious incident has taken place since the last meeting, therefore we were able to discuss other issues and reached the agreement,”- said the representative of the de facto Government of Tskhinvali, Khokh Gagloit.

The parties mostly agreed on agricultural issues regarding the irrigation system of Tiriponi. The representatives of Ossetia stated on the meeting that they have finished cleaning the canal, which is on the territory that is controlled by them and in few days, they plan to release water.

The working group of the incident prevention and response mechanism announced one-month break and will resume the work on September 23.
