The first deputy of the governor of Shida Kartli, Giorgi Totladze, resigned from the position based on personal decision. They speak about several reasons for the resignation of Totladze. One of them is dispute with the Governor Zurab Rusishvili. However, no Totladze nor the governor have made any comments about this yet.

“Everyone knows that the governor avoids contact with people, he is reclusive. Giorgi Totladze always asked for more communication and, in my opinion, that might have been the reason for the argument,”-said the member of the city assembly, Tamar Tedliashvili.
The resignation of Totladze was unexpected for the members of local organization of “Georgian Dream”.

“I do not want to follow the rumors and repeat the words from the lobby. I think and believe that this is lie and the resignation of Giorgi is because of his promotion,”- said a member of the coalition “Georgian Dream”, Irma Papidze.

The deputy governor of Shida Kartli, Guram Matcharashvili told journalists that he knew nothing about the dispute between Zurab Rusishvili and Giorgi Totladze.

Giorgi Totladze was a chair of the district organization of “Georgian Dream” in Kareli before the parliamentary elections of 2012. In 2013, he was appointed as the first deputy of the governor. The governor of Shida Kartli had appointed all 4 deputies according to the staff. After the resignation of the first deputy, it has been three days that the position is vacant.
