Human Rights Center and Embassy of the Netherlands to Screen Documentary Movie on the Work of Human Rights Watch in Gori and Gurjaani

Human Rights Center and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Georgia present a documentary movie screening to mark the International Day of Human Rights.
On the 10th of December, the screening will be in the hall of the Gori State University at 14:00.
On the 11th of December, the documentary will be screened in the hall of the Gurjaani Puppet Theatre at 14:00.
Movie by Katy Chevigny and Ross Kauffman E-TEAM will be screened in both towns; the film is about the work of the international organization Human Rights Watch. Namely, the film shows how HRW researchers work on the ground in different hot sites of the world, like Syria, Libya and Kosovo, at the risk of their own lives and document crimes committed against humanity. International Criminal Court and tribunals often rely on their reports and collected evidence when processing the cases against alleged perpetrators. The states take evaluations of the HRW researchers into account to combat or prevent cruelties in different hot sites of the world.
The 2014 movie lasts 89 minutes. The main characters of the movie are Human Rights Watch researchers Anna Neistat (Russian Federation); Ole Solvang (Norway); Peter Bouckaert and Fred Abrahams.
Human Rights Center translated the movie into Georgian language. The film will be screened in Georgian with English subtitles.
