“If one case is hushed, the second, third and others will follow-up. In August, 10 cows were stolen. Before that, a dead shepherd was found in the village Kvakhvreli. This case was not investigated either. Cattle was stolen in the villages of Mereti and Boshuri”, - Ivane Nuskhelidze, the single mandate candidate from the UNM in Kvakhvreli, said at the October 17 session of the Gori municipal board.

Ivane Nuskhelidze requested the municipal board to address the MIA to start investigation into the facts of cattle stealing in Gori.

In August, 10 cows were stolen from Nuskhelidze. Although two months passed, the police have not found the thieves yet.

Ivane Nuskhelidze claimed 3 horses were stolen from his village 2 days ago: “Before the Election Day I did not want to make this issue public to avoid misinterpretation. Yesterday 3 horses and 2 months ago 10 cows were stolen from the village Kvakhvreli. Although the investigation started, the perpetrators are not found yet and it arises questions”.

According to the information of the MIA Press-Center, the investigation in the death of the shepherd is launched under the article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

The MIA Press-Center requested time to check information and comment on the facts of cattle stealing.
