29 soldiers among those injured in the car accident in Bodbe, Kakheti region on October 21 undergo the medical rehabilitation course in the Gori Military Hospital. The hospital director Giorgi Maisuradze said health conditions of all 29 patients are satisfactory and out of risk.
“We will dismiss many of the 29 soldiers in a few days. Some soldiers will continue treatment in the hospital. Health conditions of all them are stable and none of them are under risk of death,” Giorgi Maisuradze said.
On October 21, a truck, transporting 37 soldiers in Kakheti, turned over; one soldier died and the rest were injured.
MIA commenced criminal investigation into the accident under Article 276 Part V of the Criminal Code of Georgia that implies violation of transport safety or exploitation rules of the vehicle. The crime is punished by imprisonment from 4 up to 7 years, by deprivation of the right to occupy a position or pursue a particular activity for the term not in excess of three years.
