United National Movement Stayed United in Shida Kartli Region

After one part of the political leaders left the United National Movement, the allies of Ugulava, Bokeria and Bakradze will continue political career in the new political party European Georgia. However, the Shida Kartli regional organizations of the UNM stay united. As the chairpersons of the local organizations state they stay in the team of the former president Mikheil Saakashvili and are preparing for the January 20 assembly.

“All members of the organization in Gori stay in the UNM and we are preparing for the January 20 Assembly. Gori office will participate in the assembly with 200 delegates,” chairman of the Gori organization of UNM Kakha Lobzhanidze.

Neither the chairman of the Kaspi district organization of the UNM Nugzar Noniashvili plans to quit the political party.
“I am a member of the UNM and will continue my political activities in the same party. Kaspi organization of the UNM will have 68 delegates,” Noniashvili said.

The chairmen of the Khashuri and Kareli municipal organizations Roin Makharoblidze and Ilia Burjanadze (respectively) also stay in the UNM. They said neither their members plan to leave the party.

400 delegates will participate in the January 20 assembly of the UNM from the Shida Kartli regional organizations.
