Drunken Reservists Had Argument in Kojori Battalion

September 10, 2007

Tbilisi.10.09.07.Medianews. Reservists in Kojori Battalion # 107 had serious argument. One reservist got injured as a result of the quarrel; and another one ran away.

The damaged soldier was taken to Gori Hospital; his health conditions are satisfactory and he is out of danger.

The controversy started after a party. More precisely, yesterday was day-off in Kojori Battalion and relatives could visit soldiers, who brought alcohol drinks to their sons.

Medical examination showed that nearly twenty soldiers were under alcohol influence. Consequently they will not receive confirmation on having taken reservist service.

The reservists who took part in the argument were taken to Military Police Station.

The Ministry of Defense has not made any official statement regarding the situation. Nobody announces the names of the guilty reservists.
