Koka Gumtsadze, Gia Tortladze and Giorgi Tsagareishvili, members of the Irakli Okruashvili’s party “Movement for United Georgia” will start to collect signatures to demand the release of former minister from imprisonment. They made similar decision after the Tbilisi Appeal Court did not change the verdict of the Tbilisi Civil Court on pre-trial detention of Irakli Okruashvili.
Okruashvili’s attorney appealed against the initial verdict at the Appeal Court.
Koka Guntsadze, Gia Tortladze and Giorgi Tsagareishvili expressed their mistrust to the court at the trial and left the court room in protest. “We do not trust the court of murderer Saakashvili. We start to collect signatures where we demand the release of Okruashvili. Our office will be located in Shartava Street # 38 in Tbilisi.
United public movement has already started and it will not finish until Okruashvili and all political prisoners are released in Georgia and this criminal government leaves its office,” said Guntsadze.
Gia Tortladze and Giorgi Tsagareishvili called today’s trial a “performance” and “farce”.
