Robberies of Georgians by Abkhazian separatists have become almost a daily event in the Gali district. Today, criminals armed with automatic weapons robbed three buses and a car.
Georgian residents of Gali were carrying nuts from the villages of Saberio and Dikhazurga to Zugdidi. Armed assailants first insulted the passengers in question and then stole 30,000 lari worth of nuts, some money, gold and their cell phones.
According to Tornike Kilanava, the chief of the Abkhazian persecuted government’s Gali department, the aggressors were killed by Georgian law enforcement officers. The assailants held the same views as the chief of the Abkhazian criminal group Manuchar Arshba.
