Youth Movement Will Start Protest Demonstration in front of the Sioni Church Tomorrow

November 1, 2007
Members of the United Youth Movement stated that people from regions are prohibited to arrive in Tbilisi to attend the demonstration tomorrow.

Zaza Gabunia, the leader of the movement, said that the drivers are seized of passports; or certain people cut the wheels of their cars.

Leaders of the Youth Movement intend to travel to all regions by their own cars to take people from there who want to attend the meeting.

Today, the members of the organization met students of various High Schools and gave out information booklets in the streets. “We call upon young people to join the meeting and express his/her position,” said the members of the movement.

Zaza Gabunia defined that at 12:00 AM on November 2 the members of their movement will gather in the yard of the Sioni Church and then will join the people in front of the Parliament from there. “We have symbolically chosen to gather in front of the Cathedral because the national movement originated there,” said Gabunia.
