Giorgi Tsagareishvili Blames Government for Political Terror

MP Giorgi Tsagareishvili, member of the “United Movement for Georgia” stated that the members of National Council are under political terror. He met the Chairwoman of the Georgian Parliament, Nino Burjanadze, regarding this problem.

After the closed meeting the MP told the journalists that he and one of his friends have black cars of “Hyundai”. On November10, late at night unknown people threw a bottle full of petrol at his friend’s car and burnt it down.

Tsagareishvili also stated that members of the National Council are threatened over the phone. Several phone calls are made by police officials.

Giorgi Tsagareishvili is going to apply to the United Nations, European Union, OSCE, General Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, Parliament of Georgia and Diplomatic Corps accredited in Georgia. According to him, in case of further political terror he possibly asks for political asylum to foreign states.

Giorgi Tsagareishvili said that Nino Burjanadze promised him to resolve this problem.
