Violations in Final Protocols of the Special Polling Stations

Out of total 104 polling stations and 4 special polling stations in Batumi Election District # 79 National Movement won elections only in 6 ones; three of them were special polling stations.

According to the information published on the official website of the Adjara Supreme Election Commission (http://www.sec.ge/) number of voters, who voted in special polling stations, did not coincide with the number of used and annulled ballot papers. There is one common in those polling stations – United National Movement won elections in all of them.

Namely, according to the final protocol from the special PS # 105 (attached to the PS # 15) 1841 people participated in the ballot; however the number of both used and annulled ballot papers was 1839. It is unknown where two votes disappeared. In that particular PS National Movement gained 1118 votes and Georgian Dream 652.

There is 2 votes difference in the final protocol of the special PS # 107. Although total number of registered voters was 1412, 1410 used and annulled were counted in the PS. National Movement was winner in that particular PS too with 701 votes vs Coalition’s 629 votes.

There is five votes difference in the final protocol of the PS # 102 too. 702 people participated in the ballot. However, number of used and annulled ballot papers was 697. In that PS National Movement gained 492 votes and Coalition 138.

According to general data, Georgian Dream won elections with much preference in the Batumi DEC # 79 both in proportional and majoritarian polls. On October 1, 80 405 people out of 134 488 registered voters participated in the elections in Batumi.

The final results were as follows: Coalition Georgian Dream’s majoritarian candidate Murman Dumbadze received 48 941 votes; National Movement’s candidate Giorgi Baramidze – 24 193 votes. According to proportional system, Georgian Dream received 65.3 % of votes and National Movement – 29, 9%.

Georgian Dream’s majoritarian candidate Kako Dzneladze won the elections of the Adjara Supreme Council with 48 498 votes and National Movement’s candidate Robert Chkhaidze obtained only 23 800 votes.

According to proportional system, 65, 3% of voters supported Georgian Dream in the election of Adjara Supreme Council and only 29, 8% voted for the UNM.
