Akhbaz Paramilitaries Abducted Ira Mebonia, 75 from Nabakevi village, Gali District

Four Abkhaz paramilitaries entered Nabakevi Village, Gali District and abducted Ira Mebonia, 75, the wife of one of authorities of Abkhazian de-facto administration.

The abductors took Mebonia to Gali town direction. They are demanding 30, 000 USD in ransom. According to distributed information, Ira Mebonia has recently refused to accept a job proposed by Abkhazian de –facto government.

Paata Shamugia, head of Gali District legitimate administration has the information that Abkhaz separatists attacked a bus in Gali District a while ago and robbed all the Georgian passengers.

There have been four instances of abduction in Gali District in the last week alone.
