Human Rights Center Protests Arrest of Guram Samsonishvili

Guram Samosnishvili, relative of the former commander-in-chief of the military unit “Delta” Gia Ghvaladze, was arrested at 8:00 pm yesterday. His family was not reported about his arrest. Yesterday, the family members and lawyers were looking for him all day long, though could not find him. Samsonishvili was released at 4:00 am. He was neither interrogated nor was investigation conducted.

 The NGO Human Rights Center protests the arbitrary detention of Guram Samsonishvili and states it was violation of the international conventions and Legislation of Georgia. The center also states that family members of the detainee were to be reported about his detention immediately.
