Part of Journalists and Technical Personnel Was Dismissed from TV Company “Imedi”

September 3, 2009

Journalists and technical personnel of TV Company “Imedi” were dismissed.

More precisely, Tea Tuashvili, Nino Mamaladze, Tiko Peikrishvili, Nino Kvirikashvili, cameramen, part of technical personnel and team of “Imedis Dila” (morning program) were dismissed.

According to the unreliable information, the idea belongs to Giorgi Arveladze, new head of the holding who thinks that “it is high time to change old faces with new ones.”

Former journalists of Imedi do not provide additional information about the fact yet because it is impossible to get in touch with part of them and another part does not want to comment on the fact.

Nana Intskirveli, head of the news room of the Company, said that she is not in Georgia.

“I have not been in Georgia for two weeks; I am on vacation; so I do not know what is going on in the company,” said Nana Intskirveli.

According to the reliable information 140 people will be dismissed from the TV Company “Imedi”.
