“Multinational Georgia” Suggests Georgian President to Refrain from Using Xenophobic Terminology

August 24, 2011

“Multinational Georgia” suggests President Mikheil Saakashvili to refrain from using xenophobic terminology.

As the board chair of the organization Arnold Stepanyan told the InterPressNews they will file the corresponding statement to the president’s administration today.

“Our statement says that we do not agree with the president’s phraseology, as they are xenophobic. We request the President to refrain from similar terminology. We cannot take other measures because he is an elected president,” Stepanyan said.

The organization representatives evaluated the President’s statement at the opening ceremony of Anaklia resort as xenophobic.

Mikheil Saakashvili made statement about the territory occupied by Russia and Anaklia: “There are barbarians on the other side but here we have civilization; there are Mongolian survivals and ideology on the other side, here we have real, ancient Kolkh Europe, ancient civilization, ancient love and talent”.
