Officials Dismissed from Adult Theater Link Their Dismissal to Interactions with Cartu Foundation

40 officials fired from Nodar Dumbadze Adult Theater request dismissal of theater manager Mikheil Antadze.

As actress Nino Gurulishvili, a former employee of the theater stated to interpressnews, for four months they have not been given salary. Also the manager Mikheil Antadze has been refusing to sign the contract with them for years.

According to the former employees of the theater, out of 40 fired people 35 are actors and five are technical staff.

According to the actors, the theater management is corrupted and Ministry of Culture does not have comprehensive information about the manager that gave rise to tensions and dismissal of employees.

The theater administration explains this decision by necessity of reorganization. The theater employees state that the reason of their dismissal was their decision to continue relations with Cartu charity foundation. Actor Pavle Nozadze stated following to interpressnews.

According to Pavle Nozadze, honorable artist of Georgia, laureate of Kote Marjanishvili reward, the theater manager Mikheil Antadze asked him and other actors not to continue agreement with Cartu foundation. According to his information, the theater manager requested them to show a bank record to make sure that they were not receiving money from the foundation on their account.

According to Nozadze, those who did not present the document and wished to continue receiving financial assistance from Bidzina Ivanishvili’s foundation were dismissed from job.

According to Nozadze and other actors, the theater manager promised to increase their salaries if they rejected help of the foundation. However, actors did not trust the management of theater as they received salaries late anyways. Actors request dismissal of manager.
The dismissed officials met with the deputy Minister of Culture. The meeting was closed for press.
