Director of AutoGas Zaza Dolmazashvili Arrested in Telavi

According to the ICK, law enforcement officers arrested director of the Ltd AutoGas Zaza Dolmazashvili. Central and mobile auto-gas stations of the AutoGas were sealed up for some time but later they resumed functioning.

Witnesses told ICK that agents of the tax department arrived at the central station of the AutoGas in Telavi; they did not introduce themselves to the servicemen and started insulting them. The station operators called the director. The tax agents insulted the director too after what the personnel called police. However, the police arrested the Ltd director. After Dolmazashvili’s detention, the officers of the investigation department of the revenue service sealed up central and mobile stations of the Ltd AutoGas.

Zaza Dolmazashvili’s cell phone is not available; he is at the interrogation.

The enterprise owner Shota Deminashvili was already interrogated as a witness. He said he personally witnessed the detention and saw that Zaza did not do anything wrong.

ICK got in touch with Giorgi Chiviashvili, Kakheti region prosecutor, to make comment on the issue. He suggested the journalist to apply to the press-center for the comments; the press-center promised us to verify the information within an hour.

Kakheti regional governor Giorgi Gviniashvili said he does not have information about detention of the businessman. “I am in Dedoplistskaro and I do not know what is going on,” he said. Deputy regional governor Giorgi Sibashvili also refused to have information about the detention.

Businessman Shota Deminashvili owns hotel, restaurant and other enterprises in Telavi besides the auto-gas stations. He is constructing a resort-house in Telavi now.
