Two Members of Georgian Dream Detained for the Attempt to Win a Police Officer Over

Law enforcement officers detained Irakli Pertenava, chairman of the Abkhazian Youth Branch of the Coalition Georgian Dream and Zurab Pipia, executive secretary of the Abkhazian office of the political party Our Georgia for Free Democrats.

According to the MIA, the above mentioned individuals are charged with preparation of abuse of power, a violation of the first paragraph of article 18-332, of Criminal Code of Georgia.

MIA reports, “Irakli Pertenava and Zurab Pipia attempted to "recruit" Kakha Bagaturia, chief operative officer of the first subdivision of the first division of the operative-technical division of Counter-Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
