Girl Chasing “Info-9” Team is activist of “National Movement”

“INFO 9” Journalist Tinatin Matinova was trying to get information from George Latibashvili, specialist at In Signagi district administration, but Natia Mirianashvili was chasing her with microphone and prohibited the employee of the district administration to give interview to INFO 9. This information is spread by “INFO9”.

“Giorgi, please listen to me, don’t give her an interview,”  Natia Miranashvili told the district administration’s specialist. Afterwards she herself asked questions to “INFO-9” journalist and cameraman.

Natia Mirianashvili: Ms Tinatin and Vaso, I want to know, do you represent independent media?

Tinatin Matinovi: Should we answer this question?

Natia Mirianashvili: of course you should. When you allege that I am controlled by National Movement, tell me, who are you, who controls you and where did you come from? Where did you get instructions? At the office of “Georgian Dream”, is not it true? You know that I am chasing you from the Georgian Dream’s office and have video-recorded it. Giorgi, you can refuse Bidzina Ivanishvili’s media to give any interview. ”.

According to verified information Natia Mirianashvili is representative of the “National Movement” in Signangi region. Besides that she often visits office of Signagi majoritarian candidate from the United National Movement Nugzar Abulashvili. However, the candidate denied acquaintance with Mirianashvili . “I do not know that person; there are a lot of Mirianashvilis in this region,” said Nugzar Abulashvili

ICK tried get in touch with Natia Mirianashvili, to find out whose instructions she was implementing and who had given her a camera, but we couldn’t get through her phone number.

We called Khaketi regional governor Giorgi Gviniashvili, who is also leader of Kakheti office of the UNM.

 -MR. Giorgi, who allows your party member and activist to run after journalists and hinder their professional activities even if they work for the media outlet of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s wife? And why do they shout at the employee of the district administration and order not to give interview to the journalist of Ivanishvili’s media?

It is not first fact when people “armed” with cameras and microphones, who represent different and weird media sources, run after “INFO-9” journalists and do not allow them to perform their duties. These facts often happen in Imereti and Adjara regions.
