Human Rights Center to Observe 2014 Local Self-Governmental Elections

On May 31st of 2014 Human Rights Center was registered as a local observer organization for the local self-governmental elections of June 15th of 2014 by the decree of Central Election Commission of Georgia. Human Rights Center will observe elections in the Kakheti region in the areas mostly settled by ethnic minorities as well as near conflict areas in Sachkhere municipality, in the Imereti region. The project is financially supported by Open Society – Georgia Foundation.

Observers of Human Rights Center underwent a training regarding the electoral procedures within the frameworks of the project. The training was led by expert of electoral issues, Nina Khatiskatsi.
