Masked people kidnapped ballot papers from a precinct in Martvili district

Central Election Commission’s spokesperson Eka Azariashvili reported that last night, at 2:00 am, masked people kidnapped ballot papers from Doshako village polling station # 61 in Martvili district. Later on the MIA also reported about the incident.

MIA representatives clarified that stolen election documents were found 200 meters away from the precinct; the ballot papers were sealed up and undamaged. 

As a result of the incident, election process failed in the polling station. CEC will announce the date of repeated elections to be held in the precinct in near future.
