Shorena Kakabadze, Kutaisi

Chairman of the legal committee at the Kutaisi City Council Kakha Dvalishvili petitioned to the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Member of the local council from the Georgian Dream requested the GI to study the last week incident between him and the security officer at the Kutaisi City Hall.

“I did not insult anybody. I had an argument with the security officer. In order to estimate the truth and respond to all rumors according to which I intimidated the police officer I request the GI to study the fact properly. It will not be difficult to estimate the truth because there are video-cameras in the vicinities of the City Hall building; everything would be recorded,” Kakha Dvalishvili said.

The city council member disseminated special statement to the GI of the MIA and requested to study the competence issue of the security officer. “The activities of these people must be studied. Moreover there are two petitions of the Kutaisi City Hall with the request to study the activities and competence of security officers,” the council member states in his petition.

Investigation into the resistance to police officer was launched under Article 173 of the Administrative Code of Georgia.
