Protest against certification for employees of Non-commercial legal entities in Kutaisi

June 26, 2015

Shorena Kakabadze, Kutaisi

The employees of non-commercial legal entities under Kutaisi City Hall, will have to take pass certification in order to keep their positions. Kutaisi Assembly has already confirmed the certification procedure.

Deputy of Georgian Dream in Kutaisi Assembly, Nato Katamadze does not agree with an initiative of the City hall. According to her: “It is not necessary to conduct a certification-competition. First, exaggerated personnel have to be reconsidered. People do not go to work and get salaries like a pension. Why the certification or competition is necessary, and cheating people that Kutaisi City Hall employs people only based on competition. Actually, everyone knows what is going on. For example, let us remember other certification-competitions conducted in different departments of the City Hall, when worthy competitors were left unemployed, and those with lower scores who barely passed, were employed on different position.”

Neither members of “National Movement” party in the Assembly support the certification-competition announced by Kutaisi City Hall. According to them: the city Government invented this tool for “political cleansing” in this job.
