Two dead bodies were washed ashore the Liakhvi River

Two dead bodies were washed ashore the Georgian bank of the Liakhvi River. Georgian law enforcement officers found one body in the territory of Nikozi village on July 14; and the second near the Ergneti village on July 15.

The villages of Ergneti and Nikozi border with the occupied Tskhinvali region. Conceivably, the Liakhvi River brought the dead bodies from the occupied territory. As a local Sergo Mindiashvili said, he also noticed one body when they freed the Nikozi dam. 

Both dead men were supposedly residents of Tskhinvali and the Tskhinvali de-facto law enforcement bodies were looking for them. As reported by the Radio Liberty, one of the dead men is Sergey Kokoev, 86, who drowned about two weeks ago in the Liakhvi. Another 50-years-old man was sought in Tskhinvali for the past one month and Ossetian side had asked the Georgia law enforcement bodies for help.

As reported by the press-center of the MIA, investigation into the discovery of the dead bodies on July 14 and 15 started under the article of bringing a person to the point of suicide and identity of neither bodies has been estimated yet. 

The bodies were taken to the Gori bureau of the Samkharauli National Expertise Bureau for expertise. According to the MIA, according to preliminary examination, there were no signs of violence on the bodies.
