Deputy Minister Alleged to Have Organized Assassination

Irakli Okruashvili, the General Prosecutor of Georgia, has arrested 15 people in conjunction with the murder of Temur Inaishvili. Inaishvili was murdered on January 14, 2004, at 8 p.m., in the center of Batumi near the monument of Memed Abashidze.

Okruashvili accused David Bakuridze, the deputy minister of the Internal Affairs Ministry of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, of organizing the murder. According to Okruashvili, the criminal case will proceed, and the guilty will be punished.
