Police Beat “Kmara” Activists in Batumi

Yesterday, police beat three “Kmara” activists on Memed Abashidze Street, Batumi, Adjara. The beatings occured in the square right in front of the Adjaran Parliament .

That night, police stabbed another “Kmara” activist, Aslan Iremadze, who was immediately taken to a hospital.

According to a statement from the victims, Adjaran authorities violate people's rights every day in Adjara for political reasons. The victims feel that the Adjaran government must take responsibility for these repeated violations.
