The Rights Party Protests Beating of Armenian MP

Tbilisi, June 27, 2005. The Parliamentary Bureau witnessed a confrontation between the Rights Party and the Vice-Speaker of the Legislative Branch. Manana Nachkebia, member of the faction Rights Opposition, said that a member of their party, majoritarian MP of the Tsalka region Aik Meltonian, was beaten by the special regiment.

According to Nachkebia, the Special Forces were behaving very inappropriately and were offensive to everyone.
