Prisoner Hung Himself in Batumi Jail N3

Batumi.11.07.05.Media News. On July 7, in the early morning a prisoner Jemal Chikvaidze hanged himself in Batumi jail N3. He used towel except of rope.

Suicide took place on 5-6a.m in pre-detention isolator when other prisoners were sleeping in the isolator.

The press-service of the penitentiary department reported to ‘Media News’, that Jemal Chikvaidze was charged with murdering his wife and kids. The grave crime was committed on purpose in February, 2005. Investigation is still on the run.
