Implementation of Human Rights Defense Plan in Georgia Started

16/10/05, “Media News”- On October the 17th, Human Rights Defender Sozar Subar, together with Lance Clark of the United Nations Development Program and Professor Brian Burdekin of the Raul Wallenberg Humanitarian Institute of Human Rights, will hold a press-conference about the implementation of the Human Rights Defense plan in the Courtyard Marriot Hotel.

The initiator of the plan, which in the long term should cover all areas of Georgian civil and state affairs, is the Georgian Ombudsman.

The Ombudsman’s office and the Raul Wallenberg Institute shall hold seminars for governmental, non-governmental and international organizations from the 17th till the 19th of October. The seminars will deal with issues concerning the implementation of the national action plan for the defense of human rights in Georgia.

The seminars will be financed by SIDA.
