Experiment of One Street

In order to check the voters’ lists the Human Rights Center visited K. Mebaghishvili Street in Akhaltsikhe. It belongs to two election district commissions. The visitors witnessed very comic situation there. Nearly 80% of local residents, registered on the lists, do not live in the district or their names are imaginary; we also found dead people in the list.

Giorgi Tabatadze is registered in K. Mebagishvili Street # 73. Neighbors claim that he lives in Tbilisi at the moment.

Similar situation is about Vladimer Kapanadze who lives in K. Mebagishvili Street # 69 but now he is Canadian citizen and lives there.

Sarkis Dilbarov, a resident of K. Mebagishvili Street # 66 is American citizen but is registered in the voters’ list.

According to the list, Tinatin Mamukashvili lives in the house number 64 of the same street though she is married in Germany; nobody from the neighborhood could recollect who was Elene Gogolauri-Tabatadze or Aleksandra Gogolauri who live in the village of Arjeli in Akhaltsikhe district.

Lusine Mkoiani does not live in # 53 of the same street anymore, she has sold the house.

Margarita Khachaturiani does not live in K. Mebagishvili Street # 72 though she is registered there.

Asmika Avestiani, a resident of K Mebagishvili Street # 48 lives in Russia.

Giorgi Kartvelishvili is dead though he is registered in K. Mebagishvili Street 17.

Jaba Butskhrikidze has lived in France for seven years already but he is registered in K. Mebagishvili Street # 39.

Mzia Chitashvili, a resident of K. Mebagishvili Street # 41, has lived in Greece for 15 years already.

Nobody lives in K. Mebagishvili Street # 2 where Elizaveta Saghirashvili is registered.
