In response to the HRC address, General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs established disciplinary violation by five police officers.
HRC lawyer Nestan Londaridze and Zaza Saralidze, who is the victim in the December 1, 2017 Khorava Street teen murder case, addressed the General Inspection of MIA with regard to the incidents in the canteen of the Tbilisi City Court.
On June 11, 2018, Zviad Kuprava, head of the Law Enforcement Officers Reform Center, who was detained under the administrative law, went to the inn of the Tbilisi City Court together with Zaza Saralidze, when the judge announced a break. Patrol police officers approached him in the inn and demanded to go up to the courtroom. Kuprava told the officers he would go back after finishing the meal. In response to that, the police officers took him to the courtroom with force. The furniture was broken in the inn as a result of minor controversy.
As a result of the internal survey of the General Inspection of the MIA, five police officers committed disciplinary offence and disciplinary sanctions were used against them. Namely: four officers received reprimand and the senior officer received severe reprimand for the failure to implement professional duties and negligence towards professional duties.
