Public Defender Spread Urgent Appeal about the Attack on TV Company “Maestro”

Public Defender spread urgent appeal about the attack on TV Company “Maestro”.

Public Defender’s Office reported to the Interpressnews Public Defender Sozar Subari expressed extreme concern about the incident that occurred early in the morning of May 25 in the TV Company “Maestro”. “Throwing the grenade to the TV Company is not only the crime but it is attempt to block free expression that hinders development of our country,” stated Sozar Subari.

Public Defender assesses immediate and transparent investigation of the incident as most important for the state. Besides that he requests to find out why the patrol police was late to arrive at the scene of accident.

“If the process of investigation and punishment of the guilty people is prolonged will even more reinforce the impunity syndrome in the country and will cause more crimes against the human rights and basic freedoms and more grave crimes,” said Public Defender.

Sozar Subari considers that the country shall not accept raiding of TV Companies, throwing grenades to the TV Channels, beating and threatening of journalists, restriction of free expression and speech. The investigation shall be adequate and criminals shall be punished.
