Suit Discussion of Company Sigma Plus Brought Against Public Broadcasting Is Going to Be Renewed on June 24

May 29, 2009

Today a suit of Company Sigma Plus against Public Broadcasting has been discussed in Tbilisi Civil Court.

As Sigma Plus informed the interpressnews, they provided the court with all necessary arguments which makes clear that the tender was held with many shortcomings and the contradiction of interests is obvious.

“Levan Kubaneishvili, the Director of Public Broadcasting had no right to be the member of this Tender Commission, because Levan Kubaneishvili is a former director of the TBC TV and this company was among other applicant companies which took part in the tender” said the representatives of Sigma Plus.

The judge required more detailed documentation from the representatives of the Public Broadcasting such as information about the companies which took part in the tender and about obligations of Kubaneishvili. The date for the next trial is set for June 24.

The Company Sigma Plus is the editor of the programs Etaloni and High Prospect, as for the controversial issue, it is the tender which was held and the fact that the head of the tender commission was Levan Kubaneishvili.
