Today, a new medical center will be opened in detention setting N 2. According to the Ministry of Penitentiary Probation and Legal Aid the new unit complies with the standards of emergency assistance. “The Ministry of Penitentiary, Probation and Legal Aid equipped the center completely including the new room for dentist. At the moment detention settings N 6 and N 2 are already equipped. Other detention settings will have similar medical units by the end of September, 2009,” stated the Ministry. The opening ceremony of medical units in prisons will be attended by the Minister of Penitentiary, Probation and Legal Aid and MPs.
