Since Two Days the Personnel of the Company Elit Electronics Are on Strike

Since two days a protest action is taking place in front of the main building of the Company “Elit Electronics” in Kazbegi Street 24. According to the company, the personnel of the Batumi shop branches and their family members are holding a protest action at the shop Elit Electronics in Chavchavadze Street #78/ 88, in Tbilisi. They request the Company Management and the Government to maintain their workplaces.

As the employees reported, they need their jobs to provide for their families.

The employees of the Company are going to hold a protest rally against their dismissal from 11.00 am to 15 p.m.

The Company “Elit Electronics” started a lawsuit against the 7 million GEL fine imposed by the Tax Inspection in 2007. The proceedings still continues. The account of the company was frozen on August 10, 2009 to make up for the fine. However,the Company continued to operate. On August 21, the Tax Inspection started inspecting the chain of shops, as a result the Companies “Eliteli” and”Elit Electronics” shops were closed. The shops closed down 6 days ago.
