District Governors Choose Priorities for Village Aid Project

According to Kakheti News Centre, district governors choose priorities for village aid program

Correspondents of the Centre interviewed 5 people in Gurjaani District, 3 in Kvareli District, 3 in Lagodekhi District, 6 in Telavi, 4 in Dedoplistskaro and 3 in Akhmeta District, in total 420 people. Correspondents knocked on the doors of the families and asked them questions on February 11,12,13,15. They asked two questions: Do you know that village aid program is launched? Did you take part in the selection most problematic issues of village that you want to solve with the program?

287 people out of 420 did not have any information about the program. 64 persons stated that they have information but did not take part in it.11 persons stated that officials of the district administration held meeting there, but people was not informed.58 persons refused to answer.

According to the official information, the problems, for what they should spend the sums for the village aid program are already allocated in all district budgets of Kakheti Region.

5 014 996 GEL was envisaged for eight villages in Kakheti region. 830 257 GEL is envisaged for 31 Villages of Gurjaani district; 437 185 GEL for 22 villages in Kvareli District; 886 539 GEL – for 39 villages in Lagodekhi District; 744 653 GEL for 43 villages in Sagarejo District. 521 640 GEL for 23 villages in Sighnaghi District; 668 884 GEL for 28 villages of Telavi District; 568 508 GEL for 38 villages in Akhmeta District; 357 277 GEL for 16 villages in Dedoplistskaro District.
