Social Service Agency Denies the Health Worsening of the Child Forcefully Transferred to the Infant Home

September 29, 2010
The condition of 1-year old infant transferred to Tbilisi Infant Home from Signagi Region has been worsened. This information was reported to Kakheti Information Center by the infant’s grandmother. According to her, the family found out that the infant taken away from her mother several days ago is sad and sick.

“The executor came with the social workers. The child was being breastfed. They seized the baby and took him away from his mother. The infant loved his mom, could not endure a day without her. We found out that after transfer to the Infant Home, he’s been sad and sick,” – noted infant’s grandmother.
As a reminder, 24-year-old N.K from Tsnori was deprived of her child on the basis of her light form of mental disorder.

Social Service Agency denies the health worsening of the child. As the head of the agency’s press service, Eka Alavidze stated, mother can address the social worker to see her child.

“The health condition of the infant is normal. Nobody prohibited his mother to see him. She can address the social worker to see her child” – noted Alavidze.
