MIA Reports Detainees in Ghari Village Are in Tskhinvali

“According to preliminary information, ten residents of Ghari village in Oni district, who were detained by Russian soldiers, were taken to Tskhinvali,” information from the official website of the MIA. According to the Ministry, in the evening of June 18, Russian soldiers arrested Lasha Markoishvili, Davit Jeladze, Vitali Samkharadze, Tornike Jeladze, Beso Jeladze, Dito Markoishvili, Giorgi Markoishvili, Giorgi Metreveli, Vaso Markoishvili and Gia Kakrashvili.

“Georgian and Ossetian people have been celebrating the religious holiday – “Sajvareoba” for many centuries; the churches they visit on that day are located very close to the occupation border-line. The occupants arrested the above-listed people near the St. George Churches,” the MIA reports.
