“So She Could Get Money to Buy Petrol to Burn Herself,” Keta Gabiani Apologized

December 16, 2011

Member of the Coalition for European Georgia Keta Gabiani apologized for her statement in the program “RadioActive Hour” of the Maestro TV. She wrote the sorry statement in the social network.

“The only person, whom I think I have to apologize to, is that poor woman… But I bear responsibility of all other my statements. I made an unforgiveable statement regarding this poor woman and gave a new reason to people to start speculation with her accident,” Gabiani wrote.

During the TV-program, Mamuka Baliashvili from the political party Georgia’s Way reminded Gabiani of the IDP woman who burnt herself in front of the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Refugees and Accommodation of Georgia. And Gabiani replied to him: “So she could get money to buy petrol to burn herself?!”
