Anti-Sanitary in the Territory of Khoni Agricultural Market

November 5, 2012

Khoni residents complain about anti-sanitary in the territory of the agricultural market. Despite that, traders still sell products in the area. They said they cannot pay taxes fixed inside the market and have to trade outside it.

Street trader Natela Kirtadze said: “I sell 3-4 kg cheese a day and then buy sugar, washing powder, salt and other products with the earned money. If I go inside the market to trade, they will demand me to pay money whilst 2-3 lari is significant sum for me and my family.”

Administration of the Khoni agricultural market believes the fixed taxes are minimal and they do not intend to lower the tariff.
