On November 14, Ministry of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Refugees and Accommodation got in touch with humanrights.ge. The press-center informed that head of accommodation department at the Ministry Giorgi Mazmishvili intended to visit Gorelovka village in Ninotsminda district on November 15. He said Mazmishvili will study the eco-migrants problems at the place and is ready to personally update humanrights.ge with the situation there.
Humanrights.ge visited Gorelovka village last week. Eco-migrants from Adjara resettled there by the Ministry complained about the activities of the ministry. Almost every family said that ministry could not give them houses and pastures as they had promised. Eco-migrants blame local representative of the ministry Devadze in extorting money from them for the houses the ministry had purchased for eco-migrants. See full reportage from the village on humanrights.ge: Eco-Migrants from Adjara VS Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation.
Eco-migrants living in Gorelovka told us on the phone that they are going to appeal to prosecutor’s office for help. As for ministry, they demand resignation of Giorgi Mazmishvili and Nazi Devadze from their positions.
