Humanrights.ge was notified in Lanchkhuti Electoral Commission that at this moment there are 30 132 voters in the Unified list of Voters of Lanchkhuti. According to the head of Lanchkhuti Electoral Commission, Zviad Nakaidze, there are minor changes in the voters’ lists compared to the previous year: “If there were 30 130 voters one year ago, this year, according to the final data, there are 30 132 voters, 893 out of which have special status, they are either abroad or are deceased and etc…” – Nakaidze stated.”

According to him, 52 people about who there is official information in the social agency are taken out of the list. As for the people residing abroad, there are 100 such voters in Lanchkhuti. Thus, except for the deceased people and people with special status, there are 29 239 people left.

“As for mobile ballot boxes, when it is finally clarified who needs it, we will prepare the final list too. In accordance to the Code, the mobile ballot boxes can be taken only to 3% of voters but as a rule more than 3% of voters apply for it. In similar cases, PEC chairman informs us about it and in most cases we give permission to take mobile box to more than 3 % of voters because after checking the information we found out that people really needed it,” Nakaidze said.

According to the information provided by Lanchkhuti DEC # 61, 30 130 voters were registered for the last year parliamentary elections and unprecedented number of voters – 22 125 voters went to precincts.
