Another citizen of Georgia died during the hostilities in Syria. Deceased is 23-year-old Turfal Borchashvili from village Dzibakhevi.

As Otar Mutoshvili, representative of Akhmeta Municipality Governor in Jokolo administrative unit, told humanrights.ge, the village learned about the death of Borchashvili last night. According to him, Borchashvili went to Turkey to work 6 months ago and that they have no information about how he appeared in Syria.

“How these young people end up in Syria, I do not know. The parents of Borchashvili say nothing. The trouble is that we cannot even transfer the deceased from there, same will be in the case of Borchashvili,” said Otar Mutoshvili.

More than 80 young people from Pankisi fight in Syria. 11 of them died during various clashes. 23-year-old Borchashvili is 12th among those who went from Pankisi to Syria to fight with the ISIS and died.
