Search Conducted in Batumi Prison

Tbilisi.25.05.05.Media News. At the Batumi Prison No.1 of the Ministry of Justice’s Penitentiary Department, the special staff of the Penitentiary Department and the Ministry of Justice has conducted a search for prohibited items.

As a result of the search 2 computers, 5 computer discs, 27 mobile phones, 10 knives, 40 mobile phone chargers, 30 sharp, pointed items, and 10 liters of Braga alcohol have been withdrawn.

They also found a certain powder which is suspected to be some kind of drug, which has been sent out to be analyzed. 

The search was led by the Deputy Chairman of the Penitentiary Department Goderdzi Khujadze.
