By the end of year 15 District Courts will be Established in Georgia

 

Tbilisi.31.07.05.MediaNews. According to the ongoing judicial reform, by the end of 2005 15 district courts will be established in Georgia, which means to merge the first instance courts.

 

Within this reform creation of judicial police and increasing the number of Judges is planed.

 

„ There is a legislative basis of this reform. The parliament has adopted all presented eleven drafts, which means that the implementation of the reform has begun. Its first result was the abolishment of district courts and creation of Tbilisi City Court System”-stated the Chairman of the Supreme Court, Kote Kublashvili.

 

The seminar concerning the current reform of Judicial Branch was going on for almost three days and the representatives of this sphere participated in it.
