General Prosecutors no longer Need Five Years of Working Experience

15/09/05 “GHN” - The Committee of Jurisprudence has supported the presidential initiative on a change in the law. According to the amendment, General Prosecutors are no longer required to have five years of working experience to gain the post.

A member of the committee ‘Nazi Aronia’ vehemently opposed this change in the law. She thinks that Prosecutor, who decides on the future of people, should have had work experience in the field of jurisprudence.

The representative of the press- secretariat of the president - Zurab Dekanoidze says that the degree of the job applicant will be examined in the Institute of Qualification.
