Peace Network Organized a Peace Demonstration

20/10/05, "Media News"- Today, the „Women’s Union for Peace“ has organized a peace action in five Georgian cities – Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Gori and Batumi. The demonstration was held on the 5th anniversary of UN resolution No 1325.

The organisers of the action call upon the government to solve the conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia with peaceful means.

The peace action in Tbilisi started at 9 a.m. Women dressed in white T-shirts brought flowers to the memorial for those killed in the struggle to maintain Georgia’s territorial integrity and held a silent action.
