Lawyers of Killed Persons Appeal to General Prosecutor

Tbilisi, 10.07.06, ‘Media News’ – Tsiala Shanava, the mother of Zurab Vazagashvili, killed during the special operation near the tennis courts on May the 2nd and lawyers: Malkhaz Jangirashvili and Irma Chkadua demand connection of two cases.

Zurab Vazagashvili and Alexander Khubulov were killed during the special operation and Buba Buturidze was injured.

According to Malkhaz Jangirashvili and Irma Chkadua, who attended the press-conference in the Young Georgian Lawyer’s Association, two different bodies are investigating this case. The Prosecutor’s Office is investigating if the criminals were so dangerous to overuse the power. This only means three years of imprisonment.

The ministry of Internal Affairs is investigating the preparation of robbery from Zurab Vazagashvili, Alexander Khubulov and Buba Buturidze.

According to the lawyers both of the bodies are not fair; they have divided the case to embarrass the society.

The lawyers and Jangirashvili’s mother have sent the letter to Zurab Adeishvili, General Prosecutor, to connect two cases on the 7th of July, but have not received the answer yet, thus violating article 108 of the Procedural Criminal Code.
